2018 - A Year in Review

2018 saw a lot of milestone events at Data Age, kicking off with our thirtieth anniversary. Being in business for thirty years is no easy feat, as we've seen where so many other business have come and gone, and others that continue to fail. Being able to service our ever-growing customer base while staying ahead of the pack as the industry leader is an accomplishment that we are very proud of. During 2018, our eCommerce and mobile services provided great reach and success for our clients. Our integrated eCommerce platform e4o generated over 10 million dollars in online sales for our clients, and our success fee-free model kept our clients profit margins high, as they should be. This robust product continues to gain rapid success, and new users are adopting it on a weekly basis. Our text messaging platform has lead the way in this industry for a number of years, but recent expansion has helped us define mobility in a much more efficient and safe way. With the addition of TxTPay, text messaging is a product line that's exploding with new ideas and increased revenue opportunities for our customers.

Every year, we take time to highlight our customers' success stories,  and share them to applaud the Data Age staff and their commitment to our clients. This year we had many new businesses come to us because of poor service they had been experiencing with their vendor, outrageous fees driving total cost of ownership through the roof, unanswerable product issues, and overall poor business practices from the companies who were supposed to be serving them. In several cases, the Data Age team was able to facilitate a seamless transition for our new users, meaning no interruption to their daily business. The Data Age brand has set the standard in every category in this industry and demonstrates how important it is for clients to be supplied, serviced, and above all educated. 2018 was a record year for us, but 2019 has so much more in store, not only for us but our clients as well. Our customer base has contributed to our success from day one, and they rest easy knowing that they are partnered with a highly stable company, going nowhere but up. As our customers know; the lights are always on, and there's always someone home.

Our motto has always been “treat them like  family.” We demonstrate this in everything we do, inside this office and out. We want to wish our clients a very Happy Holiday season and a very prosperous, safe, and Happy New Year.

Before becoming Data Age Business Systems’ CEO, Mr. Summa was Chief Operations Officer (COO) for four years. He has 26 years of experience in executive software solution sales and operational management for both early stage and well-established firms. Prior to his Data Age service, Mr. Summa was the General Manager of global sales and operations at Persystent Software, an industry-leading enterprise recovery software. Mr. Summa has also served as the Director of North American SMB sales and operations at Learn.com, the preeminent software firm in the learning management space. Mr. Summa has a vast business and entrepreneurial background and was the co-founder of Lou Ferrigno/Fitness Showrooms, a highly successful retail and wholesale chain located throughout the Northeastern United States.
